Killarney Heights Parent Group exists to create a community that assists and supports the school in providing the most favourable learning environment and facilities for both its students and staff. |
General Information
At Killarney Heights High School we've done away with the unnecessary formalities - sure there's a scribe and a bean counter but on the whole parents are equally as good at rolling up their sleeves as they are at delegating. In fact we've found that smaller Task Groups minimize effort and maximize results' and we have one to suit every talent:
- Hospitality: Event Planning/fundraising
- The Great Outdoors: Bush Regeneration / Grounds
- Fine Cuisine: Canteen
- Good Music: Band
- Latest Fashion: Uniform
We don't ask you to constantly put your hand in your pocket - in fact we host many social events throughout the year but only one main event to seriously 'fundraise'. Plans are already underway for Year Dinners in 2011
We don't sit around once a month listening to lengthy and meaningless reports or whining parents'. In fact our reports are brief and informative. We take your genuine concerns to the always-open door of Kim Jackson and staff.
In addition we raise money that really does make a difference to the school - take a look at the Crossley Hall as just one shining example.
So come along and discover the KHHS Parent Community.
Your children will benefit directly by your involvement in their high school life.
